Re: Super8 v282 release

The resolution menu in this build doesn't show any resolutions besides 4:3 and the higher res ones are unplayably slow.

Re: Major color overhaul

I can confirm that 1920x1200 works just fine in the new test build.

Re: Quake II with 8-bit colored lighting ref_soft.dll

I use nVidia Shadowplay to record videos, in mp4 format, 1920x1200 @ 60 fps. It's much better than something like Fraps because it uses the GPU to encode the video. New videos are added daily, tonight I will add Unit 2 part 2. This one may be slightly lower quality because I have to stitch together ...

Re: Quake II with 8-bit colored lighting ref_soft.dll

1920x1200 is a standard 16:10 enthusiast monitor. Mine is a Dell U2412M. All of the video modes in q2dos appear to be 4:3.

Never mind I was using the wrong gamex86.dll, forget I said anything!

Re: Quake II with 8-bit colored lighting ref_soft.dll

With this build I can't use custom render modes, at least not my preferred one (1920x1200).

Re: Major color overhaul

I discovered a z-fighting issue in the new build, I didn't think to take a screenshot of it the first time I saw it in ad_crucial from Arcane Dimensions, but I saw it again in jam2_skacky ("An Angel Was Heard to Cry Over the City of Celephais") from Mapjam 2: http://i.imgur.com/N3fWolIl.png (click f...

Re: Major color overhaul

I gave it a quick spin in Honey and I'm impressed! The lighting is leagues ahead of v238. Is there any chance for proper 16:10 modes? I recently got a 1920x1200 monitor.

Re: Major color overhaul

Are those overbrights I see? The lighting engine is going to be fully restored?

Re: Overbrights do not render properly in super8

This engine is a good start! It runs much faster than WinQuake Mark V at 1280x720, and CD music seems to work better. However, it seems to have some completely game-breaking bugs--it won't load a video mode with a resolution higher than 1024 (so 1920x1080 causes a crash), and it crashes when it atte...
