Feature request

This is a list of feature request that I hope you consider.

1 low resolutions like 320x240 stretched.
2 Affine textures option
3 Adjustable FPS cap
4 CRT filter
• scan lines
• Noise
• Blur
• Color Fringing
• animated roll bar to simulate a malfunctioning CRT
5 option to have short view distance like old ps1 games

Cool stuff, but no plans currently to add features.

Stretched 2X modes exist. My monitor goes down to 800x600 and I can use the 400x300 stretch. I expect 400 is the minimum it can go without crashing.

I experimented once with motion blur in the Quake2 software engine, simply by blending old and new frames. Movement is so fast that it leaves a lot of artifacts when turning quickly. It may have looked better with multiple frames generated per displayed frames.

Has your 'no new features' stance changed at all, Func? Because some of the features that Quake0 suggested sounds pretty neat. Are there plans for a new version btw?

A way to get some of these effects might be ReShade on one of the hardware-render (glquake) engines. People have configured scanlines, CRT, etc. (There's even a qbism effect https://reshade.me/forum/general-discus ... ade-super8)

But yeah, mostly spending time on a new game project based on Q2 engine.
